Louise Wills
PG Dip PG Cert BSc (Hons)

Hello, I'm Louise.

Here is a small bit of information about myself and my most recent experiences in the field of mental health and well being. I hope that it will make you feel more at ease in taking the first step to working on the things that are making life difficult for you. I have worked in the field of mental health for over 10 years. I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and my training and background are from the NHS which means it is of a high standard and vast. I have experience of delivering CBT on a one to one and group basis. I have worked with people that have experienced depression and many anxiety problems such as, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic and agoraphobia, specific phobias, social phobia, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and generalised anxiety disorder (excessive worry). I also have training and experience in compassion focussed therapy (CFT) for trauma.

My approach to therapy is professional, collaborative and empathic. CBT is about working together to help you explore and understand your problems. More importantly helping you use your understanding to think about change and identify new ways of thinking and being. I started my career due to reasons close to my heart, I have a very sincere approach and a drive for you as an individual to make change. I believe that mental health is not a separate entity but is something we all experience, but for some the degree of severity is higher and a little guidance can go a long way.
